Privacy policy
This page says what contractornearme.net collects, why, who sees it and how to reach us about it. It follows California's Online Privacy Protection Act.
Effective October 25, 2026.
What we collect
- What you type into the request form: your name, phone number, and if you add them, your email, the kind of project, your city or ZIP code and your note.
- What a phone call or email shows us: your number or address and what you tell us.
- Basic visit data: once our site analytics are switched on, Google Analytics records pages viewed, the kind of device and browser, an approximate location from the IP address, and whether a call button or the form was used. It uses cookies or similar identifiers to do that.
How we use it
We use your details only to answer your request: to call, text or email you about the project you described. Visit data is used in total, to see which pages help people and to fix what does not work.
Who it is shared with
We do not sell or rent your personal information. Requests are stored and delivered to our inbox by our hosting provider, Cloudflare, and our email provider. Analytics data is processed by Google. If you ask us to put you in touch with a contractor, we share only what is needed for that, and only with your agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep a request for as long as we need it to answer you and keep a record of the conversation, and delete it when you ask us to, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing [email protected] or calling the number at the bottom of this page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our site does not change its behavior in response to a browser's "Do Not Track" signal; blocking cookies or using a browser's tracking protection limits analytics.
Children
This site is for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update this page and the effective date above.
